OKX Boost August Observation: Distributed over 2 million USD in incentives, X Layer RWA daily active users hit a new high, new feature X Liquidity launched
Author: RootData
OKX Boost, as the "outpost" of the OKX main liquidity market, provides a high transparency participation channel for ordinary users to capture quality projects. Therefore, RootData continuously tracks the monthly dynamics of OKX Boost to help users discover more quality project opportunities and trends in the Web3 market.
In August, despite the overall market conditions remaining sluggish, OKX Boost continued to maintain its positioning in discovering high-quality innovative projects, while launching a new feature, X Liquidity, which further enriched the activity matrix and deepened the collaboration with the X Layer ecosystem. Specific observations are as follows:
1. Participation Scale and Prize Pool: Over $2 million in incentives distributed, X Layer RWA daily active addresses hit a new high
In August 2026, OKX Boost launched a total of 9 activities, covering various types such as X Launch, X Stake, X Trade, and X Liquidity. According to the official data compiled by OKX Boost, the details of the projects launched in August are as follows:

The total participation scale of all activities in August reached approximately 74,000 people, with a total prize pool of $2.02 million, slightly increasing from July's $1.908 million, reflecting that the platform's incentive for quality projects is still increasing. Additionally, noteworthy highlights are as follows:
First, the new feature X Liquidity was launched, further enriching the Boost matrix. X Liquidity focuses on DeFi staking and liquidity incentives on the X Layer chain. The first activity launched in August, and as of the time of writing, the second phase has been launched, with the first phase distributing $300,000 and a total of over $500,000 in rewards distributed. According to DefiLlama data, the TVL of the X Layer chain increased from $100 million in July to $200 million, achieving a doubling growth, and X Liquidity has begun to show effectiveness in promoting liquidity in the X Layer ecosystem.
Second, the X Layer RWA trading competition continues to see new entries, with ecosystem activity reaching a new high. On August 20, OKX Wallet officially announced that the daily active trading addresses for X Layer RWA continued to grow, breaking historical records, and the ongoing incentive effects of the X Layer RWA trading competition are becoming more evident.

Third, AI projects continue to provide high incentives. AIW3 leads August with a $400,000 prize pool, while DappOS provided a total of $650,000 in prize pools across two activities; the combined prize pool for the three AI-focused projects, AIW3, AEON, and DappOS, reached $1.11 million, accounting for about 71% of the total prize pool for X Launch and X Trade ($1.57 million). Additionally, the RWA-focused KiiChain also provided a high incentive of $350,000, with both AI and RWA main tracks continuing to receive funding support. Among them, AIW3 attracted 14,000 addresses to participate, ranking first in participation enthusiasm for X Launch.
2. Transparency Performance: Over 60% outperforming 86% of projects on RootData

In the August activities, 3 projects had transparency ratings better than 86% of the platform, accounting for over 60%.
KiiChain received an A-level excellent transparency rating, outperforming 99% of projects on the platform, ranking in the top 1% and matching the highest transparency record set by Irys in June. GRVT received a B-level highly transparent rating, outperforming 96% of projects on the platform, ranking in the top 4%. DappOS received a B-level highly transparent rating, outperforming 86% of projects on the platform, ranking in the top 14%.
These high-transparency projects cover three directions: emerging market financial infrastructure, on-chain wealth management, and AI applications, all showing balanced performance across dimensions such as basic information, operational business, financial performance, and disclosure activity, with complete disclosure of key information such as project progress, financing background, token economics, and unlocking arrangements.
Compared to previous periods, August saw the emergence of an A-level excellent transparency project again, with KiiChain achieving a rating better than 99% of the platform, matching the highest record of transparency set by Irys in June, reflecting that OKX Boost's standards for project information disclosure remain stringent.
3. Track Trends: AI accounts for 60%, still a focus of the ecosystem
From the distribution of project-related activities in August by OKX Boost, there were 3 AI-related projects, accounting for 60%; DeFi and RWA each had 1 project, each accounting for 20%. AI and RWA remain the main tracks.

Specifically, one category includes AI infrastructure and applications with execution and settlement capabilities, such as AIW3, AEON, and DappOS; the second focuses on RWA projects in real financial scenarios in emerging markets, such as KiiChain; the third includes on-chain wealth management DeFi that can accumulate funds and trading volume, such as GRVT. Overall, Boost tends to choose projects with clear revenue scenarios, verifiable business progress, and high transparency, rather than simply chasing conceptual trends.
In terms of participation, GRVT leads with 26,000 addresses, followed closely by AIW3 and KiiChain. While the number of AI projects is dominant, DeFi and RWA projects stand out in terms of single project participation.
Conclusion
In August, under the overall pressure of the market, OKX Boost still maintained its ability to discover high-quality projects and the rhythm of product innovation:
First, the new feature X Liquidity was launched. Focusing on DeFi staking and liquidity incentives on the X Layer chain, a total of $500,000 in rewards were distributed across two phases, with the TVL of the X Layer chain growing from $100 million in July to $200 million, achieving a doubling, and Boost's empowering effect on the X Layer ecosystem continues to amplify.
Second, the AI and RWA tracks continue to deepen. AI projects occupy more than half of the landscape, covering execution, application, and settlement layers; the RWA track extends towards emerging market financial infrastructure.
Third, project transparency continues to maintain a high level. KiiChain received an A-level excellent transparency rating, outperforming 99% of projects on the platform, matching the optimal transparency record from June.
As OKX Boost continues to deepen its efforts in the three major activity matrices of X Launch, X Trade, and X Liquidity, it not only serves as an important window for users to capture early quality projects but also becomes an important reference for observing the migration of funds, narratives, and liquidity in the Web3 primary market. We will continue to track and bring the latest discoveries to our followers each month.
