Tether's gold holdings rise to 146 tons, becoming the world's largest private gold holder

According to Cointelegraph, Tether added 14 tons of gold in Q2 2026, bringing its total holdings to a record 146 tons, valued at approximately $18.8 billion, making it the largest known private holder of gold outside of central banks and governments.
