Although Japanese officials issued warnings about intervening in the yen, which caused the yen to strengthen temporarily, the dollar's decline was limited and short-lived. Chris Turner from ING stated, "Unless Iran releases clear signals of de-escalation, it will be difficult to see the dollar give back its gains this month in the short term."
