Data: Ethereum staking queue size hits a new high since the transition to PoS

Currently, approximately 3.4 million ETH are waiting to enter the validator queue, marking one of the longest staking queue records since the network transitioned to PoS, with expected waiting times of up to 60 days. This figure has significantly increased from about 904,000 ETH in early January.

Analysts indicate that the Ethereum validator queue has recently surged, showing that large investors, enterprises, and cryptocurrency exchanges are more inclined to stake their held ETH rather than sell it in the recent market conditions. The narrative surrounding Ethereum's potential in payment infrastructure and AI-related applications may also be driving this demand.
