Security Agency: FOOMCASH suffers imitation attack with losses of approximately 2.26 million USD

Blockchain security agency BlockSec monitored and discovered that the Base and Ethereum networks' FOOMCASH contracts were subjected to imitation attacks, using the same method as the previous Veil Cash vulnerability. Attackers forged zkSNARK proofs due to incorrect verification key configuration, resulting in a total loss of approximately $2.26 million for the contracts.

Among them, a single attack transaction on Base caused a loss of about $427,000, while approximately $1.83 million in related transactions on Ethereum are suspected to be white hat rescue operations.
