According to Jin Shi reports, the number of initial jobless claims in the United States fell more than expected last week, aligning with the trend of stabilization in the labor market. The U.S. Department of Labor announced on Thursday that for the week ending February 14, the seasonally adjusted initial jobless claims decreased by 23,000 to 206,000, while economists had previously estimated 225,000. The number of initial jobless claims had surged to 232,000 at the end of January. Earlier minutes from the Federal Reserve's policy meeting indicated that the vast majority of participating decision-makers believe that signs of stabilization in the labor market have emerged, but concerns about the downside risks to the labor market still persist.
