According to Lynn Martin, president of the New York Stock Exchange, as the development of blockchain finance accelerates, the exchange feels a responsibility to participate in the tokenization space.

The New York Stock Exchange has developed tokenization technology and is working with regulators to explore how tokenized assets can fit into the existing financial framework. The exchange expects to launch a blockchain-based tokenized stock and ETF trading platform this year, but has not yet announced a specific launch date or detailed plans.
