The Central Bank of El Salvador increased its gold holdings by 50 million USD, while the government of the country continues to accumulate 1 Bitcoin

According to CoinDesk, the Central Bank of El Salvador announced on Thursday that it has increased its gold reserves by $50 million. After purchasing 9,298 troy ounces of gold, the country's total gold reserves have reached 67,403 ounces, valued at approximately $360 million.

Meanwhile, the government, following President Nayib Bukele's commitment to "buy 1 Bitcoin every day," has increased its holdings by 1 Bitcoin on the same day. According to Arkham data, its total Bitcoin holdings have reached 7,547, valued at approximately $635 million based on the Bitcoin price of about $84,000 at the time of writing. President Bukele wrote "We bought the dip again" when retweeting the central bank's announcement, but it was not clear whether he was referring to the purchase of gold or Bitcoin.
