Coinbase plans to open stock trading services to all customers in the coming weeks

According to Fortune, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated in an interview that Coinbase is working to transform from a cryptocurrency trading platform into an everything exchange, with plans to open stock trading to all customers in the coming weeks. Currently, this service is only available to a limited number of users.

Brian Armstrong pointed out that although stock trading is currently offered in a traditional manner, the ultimate goal is to achieve tokenized equity, meaning stocks will be natively issued on the blockchain. He predicts that this transformation will begin within the next two years, at which point all companies will recognize blockchain as a superior technology for managing shares. Armstrong also expressed a desire for Coinbase to become the first company to pay shareholder dividends in the form of Bitcoin in the future.
