Camp Network announced a collaboration with the film financing platform Mugafi to help finance the historical film "Swarajya Agra" through on-chain real-world assets (RWA), marking the first instance of institutional-level on-chain financing for a Bollywood film.
It is reported that the project is now open for community participation, with a financing goal of $200,000, offering investors a 40% annualized return. The names of outstanding contributors will be included in the film's end credits. The film is directed by Digpal Lanjekar, the box office champion of Marathi historical films, whose previous works have grossed over $9.4 million. The film is set to be released in theaters worldwide on January 30.
Camp Network stated that the financing funds will be specifically used for post-production and promotional distribution of the film, aiming to provide a transparent and efficient new financing model for the film industry through blockchain technology, changing the traditional film industry's reliance on intermediaries and slow capital turnover.
