The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics will release the first non-farm data for the U.S. in 2026 tonight at 21:30, with an expectation of 60,000, compared to the previous value of 64,000. The non-farm employment data reports the changes in employment numbers in the U.S. non-farm sector, which excludes agricultural employment data.
The U.S. non-farm employment data is derived from a sample survey of U.S. businesses, government agencies, and non-agricultural sectors. On the first Friday of each month, the U.S. Department of Labor publishes the non-farm employment data report for the previous month.
At the same time, the U.S. unemployment rate for December will also be released, with an expectation of 4.50%, compared to the previous value of 4.60%.
