According to CoinDesk, Circle Internet (CRCL)'s dollar-pegged stablecoin USDC has outpaced its main competitor Tether's USDT in growth for the second consecutive year in 2025.

Data shows that USDC's market cap grew by 73% in 2025, reaching $75.12 billion, while USDT's market cap grew by 36%, reaching $186.6 billion. In 2024, USDC's growth rate was 77%, while USDT's growth rate was 50%.
