According to market news, a Canadian hacker named Haby (Havard) has impersonated Coinbase customer service to conduct social engineering scams, stealing over $2 million in cryptocurrency assets over the past year.

The hacker has squandered the funds on rare social media usernames, nightclub expenses, and gambling. Investigations show that Haby has recently been purchasing expensive Telegram usernames frequently and deleted his recent account two days ago. Through open-source intelligence analysis of his social media story posts, investigators determined that Haby is located in Abbotsford, near Vancouver, Canada. ZachXBT stated that while Canadian law enforcement may be aware of Haby's existence, there are rarely prosecutions of such cyber threat actors in the region.
