According to the Forbes Billionaires Index, after the Delaware Supreme Court reinstated the $139 billion Tesla stock options that were voided last year, Tesla CEO Elon Musk's net worth soared to $749 billion last Friday evening. Musk's 2018 compensation plan was valued at $56 billion, which was deemed "outrageous" by a lower court two years ago, but the Delaware Supreme Court announced the reinstatement of the plan this Friday.
The Supreme Court stated that the 2024 ruling to revoke this compensation plan was improper and unfair to Musk. Earlier this week, reports indicated that his aerospace startup SpaceX might be going public, leading Musk's net worth to surpass $600 billion, making him the first billionaire to achieve this milestone globally.
