DraftKings launches independent prediction market app regulated by the CFTC

The sports betting giant DraftKings announced on Friday that it has launched a standalone prediction app, officially entering the federally regulated prediction market overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Reportedly, the new product launched by DraftKings, DraftKings Predictions, will allow eligible users to trade event contracts tied to real-world outcomes, covering both sports and financial markets at launch.
