During an interview with The Katie Miller Podcast, Musk stated that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which he once led, was "somewhat successful," but if given another chance, he would not participate in such government affairs again and would instead focus on his own companies.

Musk mentioned that the name DOGE originated from a suggestion online and that it was essentially a department established to cut government spending. In the interview, he also discussed his brief experience in Washington, U.S. immigration policy, AI, and space exploration, stating that the government should "do as little as possible."

Earlier this year, Musk left his position after conflicts with the government team due to political controversies over government spending cuts and incidents of vandalism at Tesla stores in multiple locations, but he later repaired his relationship with President Trump.
