The fully homomorphic encryption network Zama officially announced that it will sell 10% of the total ZAMA token supply through a sealed-bid Dutch auction on Ethereum, using fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) to keep bids confidential. The tokens will be unlocked immediately to ensure fair distribution and true price discovery, with no bot sniping or gas wars.

The auction will take place from January 12 to 15, and the token distribution will occur on January 20. ZAMA is the utility token of the Zama protocol, used to pay for encryption and decryption fees, stake or delegate nodes, and help protect FHE nodes. The mainnet is expected to launch by the end of the year.
