Europol, Germany and Switzerland cooperate to shut down the crypto mixer Cryptomixer

The European Cybercrime Centre stated that Germany and Switzerland have collaborated to shut down the cryptocurrency mixer Cryptomixer, which has "laundered" over $1.4 billion in Bitcoin since 2016. The operation took place in Switzerland, seizing three servers, 12 TB of data, and cryptocurrencies worth over $27 million.

Cybercrime experts indicated that this crackdown will cause short-term disruption to criminal groups, but most criminal organizations are likely to switch to other money laundering services within a few weeks.
