Data: Binance 60% of trading volume comes from altcoins, reaching a new high for the year

According to on-chain data from CryptoQuant, altcoins currently account for 60% of Binance's total trading volume, reaching the highest level since early 2025. The trading shares of Bitcoin and Ethereum are only 20% each, significantly lower than previous levels. This reflects that actual trading activity is heavily concentrated outside of mainstream cryptocurrencies.

Historical data shows that the rise in altcoin trading volume share often coincides with an increase in market speculation sentiment. Currently, the volatility of Bitcoin and many altcoins has significantly increased, and market participants may be trading on this volatility or betting on altcoin trends.
