Franklin executive: Stablecoins are the "killer application" of crypto, and 2025 is the critical point for institutional adoption

Christopher Jensen, Head of Digital Asset Research at Franklin Templeton, stated in an exclusive interview with Binance's Jessica Walker that institutional entry is accelerating comprehensively, and 2025 will be a turning point for the integration of traditional finance and blockchain.
Jensen pointed out that stablecoins are the first "killer application" in the crypto space to achieve large-scale implementation, not only driving innovation in payment systems but also becoming the base currency for all tokenized assets. With regulatory progress (such as the GENIUS Act), institutional confidence is rapidly increasing. He also mentioned that tokenization is reshaping the financial and asset landscape, and in the future, investors' wallets will hold a diverse range of assets including U.S. Treasuries, stablecoins, NFTs, and tokenized real estate, forming a complete on-chain portfolio. He believes, "This institutional entry is real; the market is moving from the experimental phase to a structural adoption phase."
