According to Cointelegraph, the Canadian government has officially announced its regulatory plan for stablecoins in its 2025 federal budget, following the regulatory direction of the U.S. GENIUS Act.
Under this plan, stablecoin issuers must maintain sufficient reserves and establish a sound risk management system.
