According to the U.S. Congress website, California Congressman Ro Khanna has introduced a resolution numbered H.Res.849, calling for the prohibition of public officials from obtaining personal benefits through cryptocurrency-related activities, and promoting the establishment of a regulatory mechanism to prevent conflicts of interest and foreign influence.

The resolution has been submitted to the House Financial Services Committee, the Committee on Oversight and Reform, the House Administration Committee, and the Judiciary Committee for review. The document states that there is a need to enhance transparency and regulation of the digital asset activities of political figures to ensure the fairness of policy-making and public trust.
