CZ plans to sue U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren for defamation

ChainCatcher news, according to the New York Post, CZ is considering suing U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren for defamation, following her statement that CZ was "convicted of money laundering" after Trump issued a pardon. However, CZ has never been convicted of money laundering; he was only previously accused of violating the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Binance's failure to implement effective anti-money laundering procedures.

CZ's lawyer Teresa Goody Guillen stated that she is preparing a letter requesting Warren to retract her statement. If Warren does not formally retract her statement, CZ plans to immediately file a defamation lawsuit against the senator. Elizabeth Warren is a prominent Democratic member of the Senate Banking Committee and has been one of the most steadfast critics of the crypto space.
