The meeting aims to restart bipartisan dialogue, striving to get relevant bills to President Trump's desk before the midterm elections. At 10 AM, David Sacks will meet with Republican members of the Senate Banking Committee to emphasize that passing market structure legislation is a priority for the Trump administration this year. At 11:30 AM, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will host a Democratic roundtable, with participants including Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and 11 other senators, as well as about 10 industry executives, including Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz, and Kraken CEO Dave Ripley. At 2 PM, some industry leaders will participate in a Republican roundtable hosted by Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott and Cynthia Lummis. Previously, there were significant disagreements between the two parties on decentralized finance regulation, and negotiations had once broken down.
