ChainCatcher news, according to market reports, renowned Ethereum developer Dankrad Feist has announced his departure from the Ethereum Foundation (EF) to join Tempo, a payment-focused Layer 1 project incubated by Stripe and Paradigm. Since joining EF in 2018, Feist has made significant contributions, most notably co-creating the Danksharding shard design to enhance Layer 2 scalability. Earlier this year, he was also appointed as a strategic advisor in multiple areas of the Ethereum Foundation.
Feist stated that Tempo is "highly aligned" with Ethereum, both built on the same permissionless philosophy, and Tempo's open-source technology can be easily integrated back into the Ethereum ecosystem. Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin responded, "Dankrad is an outstanding researcher who has made extremely valuable contributions to what we know as Ethereum today."
