France expands anti-money laundering scrutiny of cryptocurrency trading platforms

ChainCatcher news, France is intensifying its anti-money laundering scrutiny of cryptocurrency trading platforms, as regulators attempt to determine which of the more than 100 entities registered in the country to provide crypto services will obtain EU-wide operating licenses in the coming months.
According to informed sources, the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR) has been reviewing dozens of trading platforms since the end of last year. These individuals stated that they requested anonymity due to the confidential nature of the process.
