Powell: The U.S. economy appears to remain stable, government shutdown affects data release

ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell stated that despite the lack of recent data due to the ongoing government shutdown, the U.S. economy still appears to be in a stable condition. He noted that since the September meeting, the employment and inflation outlooks seem to have not changed much. Powell also mentioned that if the government shutdown continues, the October data may be missed, and reiterated that there is no risk-free policy path amid the tension between employment and inflation targets.
