ChainCatcher news, according to 4E observations, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink stated in an interview with CBS that he has re-evaluated Bitcoin and considers it an "alternative asset" like gold. Fink emphasized that Bitcoin is "not a bad asset," but it should not occupy too high a proportion in a portfolio. He added that about 50% of investors in BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF are retail investors, with 75% having never purchased iShares products before.
Nasdaq-listed BitMine Immersion Technologies disclosed the latest data, holding 3,032,188 ETH and 192 BTC, having increased its holdings by about 200,000 ETH last week, bringing total holdings to over 3 million. Meanwhile, global listed companies net bought $31.63 million in Bitcoin last week, with Strategy purchasing 220 BTC for $27.2 million, raising total holdings to 640,000; Metaplanet has paused its accumulation.
On the macro level, Federal Reserve officials have been vocal ahead of the silent period, with Powell and several governors set to deliver policy speeches this week. The risk of a U.S. government shutdown persists, while delays in economic data releases have further fueled market expectations for interest rate cuts.
A Glassnode report pointed out that despite the recent crash, the Bitcoin market structure remains robust, with ETF inflows and on-chain activity staying high. The cleansing of excessive leverage has led the market into a "healthy consolidation phase," with institutional capital steadily entering.
Standard Chartered warned that if U.S. economic momentum continues, further rate cuts in 2026 may be difficult to achieve, and the dollar and U.S. Treasury yields may continue to strengthen.
4E reminds investors: the current market is in a phase of deleveraging and institutional positioning, with structural funds still supporting the long-term upward logic, but short-term volatility and macro variables need to be continuously monitored.
