黄金大约一半的价值源自其作为价值储存的功能，而非工业或珠宝需求。调查显示，新兴市场的年轻消费者越来越倾向于用比特币用作这一用途。按照今日创新高的黄金价格，这意味着每枚比特币的等值价值约为 644,000 美元。
