CME Group plans to launch SOL and XRP futures options

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the CME Group plans to launch Solana (SOL) and Ripple (XRP) futures options on October 13, pending regulatory review.

The CME announced on Wednesday that the new contracts will cover standard options and micro options for SOL and XRP futures, with expiration dates divided into daily, monthly, and quarterly. The new options are designed to provide institutional investors and active traders with greater flexibility in managing their risk exposure to these two cryptocurrencies. Giovanni Vicioso, the CME's global head of cryptocurrency products, stated that the plan to launch options is due to the "significant growth and increasing liquidity" of SOL and XRP futures at the exchange.
