Polymarket launches a public company earnings prediction market

ChainCatcher news, the decentralized prediction market platform Polymarket has announced the launch of a new prediction category that allows users to place bets on the earnings reports of publicly traded companies.

The platform has partnered with the trading social platform Stocktwits, combining Polymarket's prediction market with Stocktwits' trading community to provide users with real-time, crowd-sourced probability predictions. Users have already begun predicting the earnings of companies such as FedEx and cryptocurrency exchange Bullish. Previously, Polymarket CEO Shane Coplan revealed that the platform has received approval from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to operate in the United States and is reportedly considering raising new funds at a valuation of $9-10 billion.
