PayPal integrates digital assets such as BTC, ETH, and PYUSD into the new P2P payment process

ChainCatcher news, according to official news, PayPal announced the launch of a new feature "PayPal Links" on September 15, 2025, allowing users to send and receive funds through personalized one-time links in any conversation. This feature is now live in the United States and will expand to markets such as the United Kingdom and Italy later this month.

At the same time, PayPal will directly integrate cryptocurrency features within the app, allowing U.S. users to easily send digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and PYUSD soon. It is worth noting that transfers between friends and family via PayPal and Venmo will continue to be exempt from 1099-K tax reporting.
