Citigroup: It is expected that by 2030, 10% of global market transactions will be conducted through digital assets and tokenized securities

ChainCatcher news, according to Gelonghui reports, Citigroup has released a research report predicting that by 2030, 10% of global market trading volume will be conducted through digital assets and tokenized securities.
Respondents believe that by then, digital assets or asset tokenization will grow the fastest in the fields of fixed income tokenization, cryptocurrencies, and fund tokenization. Citigroup's latest fifth annual report was conducted through a survey from June to July this year, interviewing 537 executives globally, including those from financial market infrastructure, custody businesses, banks, brokerages, asset management companies, and institutional investors. By asset class, respondents expect that by 2030, 14% of private equity trading volume will be conducted using tokenization and digital assets, with another 11% of over-the-counter trading collateral traded in this manner, while fund trading and stock trading are expected to each adopt this form at 10%, and fixed income trading and derivatives at 9% each.
