Crystal Intelligence will acquire Whale Alert's scam notification platform Scam Alerts

ChainCatcher news, blockchain forensics company Crystal Intelligence plans to acquire the Web3 scam notification platform Scam Alerts operated by Whale Alert. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed and are expected to be completed by the end of May. After the acquisition, Scam Alerts will become an independent non-commercial entity within Crystal Intelligence.

Following this acquisition, Whale Alert will act as a consulting partner. Crystal Intelligence aims to enhance the collection of scam reports and victim support structures by improving language support and strengthening cooperation with global law enforcement agencies. According to a report from the FBI, financial crimes involving cryptocurrency are on the rise, with related complaint losses exceeding $9.3 billion in 2024, a 66% increase from 2023.
