Sources: World Network is in talks with Visa for a stablecoin payment wallet collaboration

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, sources disclosed that Tools for Humanity, co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, is in talks with payment giant Visa to connect on-chain card functionality with self-custody cryptocurrency wallets.

The collaboration aims to introduce Visa card functionality to the World Network wallet, providing fintech and foreign exchange applications, fiat deposit and withdrawal channels, and allowing users to make stablecoin-based payments to thousands of Visa network merchants worldwide.

Insiders revealed that the plan will turn the World Wallet into a "mini bank account." Tools for Humanity has sent product request forms to card issuers. The World Network is also in discussions with crypto card service provider Rain, which offers on-chain Visa card services for projects like Optimism and Avalanche.
