MoonPay obtains a money transmission license in Texas

ChainCatcher news, according to crowdfundinsider, the crypto payment platform MoonPay has announced that it has obtained a Money Transmitter License issued by the Texas Department of Banking.

Starting today, Texas users can purchase 64 types of cryptocurrencies through Venmo and PayPal. According to statistics, over one-fifth of the voting-age population in Texas holds cryptocurrencies.

MoonPay plans to expand its services in 2025, allowing Texas residents to sell cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH, and SOL. Currently, MoonPay has obtained Money Transmitter Licenses in 45 states across the United States.
