Richard Skeet is a Managing Partner and Head of Trading at Hivemind Capital Partners. Prior to joining Hivemind, Mr. Skeet was a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at East Lodge Capital, a global structured credit hedge fund. Richard was a key force in driving the firm’s growth from its inception to a peak of approximately $2 billion in assets under management. Richard is responsible for all European RMBS, consumer, and CLO investments, as well as the execution of macro hedge strategies. Richard first met founder Matt Zhang after the global financial crisis, when he joined Citigroup as a member of the firm’s proprietary trading desk. Before Richard left to join the buy-side, the two built a strong relationship while taking on risks side by side as Citigroup market makers. Richard attended the University of Warwick, where he earned a master’s degree in engineering and graduated with a first-class honors degree in computer science and electrical and electronic engineering. He began his career as a software architect and application developer through Citigroup’s graduate program.
