Charles Hoskinson

Details

Charles Hoskinson is a technology entrepreneur and mathematician based in Colorado. He studied analytic number theory at Metropolitan State University of Denver and University of Colorado Boulder before getting into cryptography through industry exposure. He has founded three cryptocurrency-related start-ups – Invictus Innovations, Ethereum and IOHK – and has held various positions in the public and private sectors. He was the founding chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation's education committee and established the Cryptocurrency Research Group in 2013. Currently, his projects are aimed at educating people about cryptocurrency, being an evangelist for decentralization, and making cryptographic tools more accessible to the mainstream. This includes leading the research, design, and development of Cardano, a third-generation cryptocurrency that was launched in September 2017.

Decentral is the manufacturer of the digital asset platforms Jaxx Classic and Jaxx Liberty. He is knowledgeable in cryptocurrency, blockchain, finance, and business, and currently serves as an advisor to 15 companies. As the Chief Digital Officer of the TMX Group, the parent company of Canada's largest stock exchange, he is exploring ways to make exchanges operate more efficiently through blockchain technology. He has served as a lecturer in the Master's program in digital currencies at the University of Nicosia and has taught related courses at the University of Toronto Law School.

Vitalik Buterin

Vitalik Buterin is a Russian-born Canadian programmer and writer who is best known as one of the co-founders of Ethereum. He became involved with cryptocurrency early on, co-founding Bitcoin Magazine in 2011.

Mihai Alisie

Mihai Alisie is a co-founder of Ethereum and Bitcoin Magazine, and is currently focused on making the Akasha Project a reality. He has been actively involved in the blockchain technology space since 2011 when he, along with Vitalik Buterin, created the world's first Bitcoin-centric publication, Bitcoin Magazine. He served as Editor-in-Chief for the magazine until late 2013, when he joined Vitalik in founding the Ethereum project. In the early days of Ethereum, Mihai played a key role in establishing the business infrastructure and legal framework critical for the Ethereum "pre-sale" campaign, leading the Swiss efforts. Following the successful Swiss setup, he oversaw Ethereum operations as Strategic Manager and Vice-President of the Ethereum Foundation until late 2015, when he shifted his focus to making the AKASHA dream a reality.
