About Radius
Radius is a trustless sequencing layer for rollups focused on the MEV economy. Its core business is twofold: Protect users from harmful MEV through an encrypted mempool, and generate sustainable revenue for rollups by auctioning off a designated "bottom block space" for benign MEV activities like arbitrage and liquidations.
Market pain point: Almost all L2s today run centralized sequencers, creating risks of censorship, front-running, and single points of failure. Additionally, rollups struggle to sustain revenue from transaction fees alone, and typical MEV extraction often exploits end users.
Core competitive edge: Radius decouples the block space into a top part for user transactions (encrypted via PVDE) and a bottom part for MEV bundle auctions. This design reduces trust assumptions toward sequencers while enabling a profitable, fair MEV market. Its Lighthouse network connects rollups with searchers, while Secure Block Building (SBB) ensures users' transactions remain encrypted until they are irrevocably ordered—minimizing the risk of sandwich attacks.
In the past six months (March–September 2026), Radius has focused on maturing the Lighthouse testnet and integrating Secure Block Building (SBB) with a growing list of rollup frameworks (OP Stack, Polygon CDK, Arbitrum, ZK Stack). It also expanded partnerships across infrastructure and data-availability providers to support cross-rollup atomic transactions and faster finality. The project's institutional page emphasizes economic transparency and auditability, signaling a push beyond purely DeFi-native use cases.
Over the past six months, Radius has advanced its trustless rollup sequencing layer focused on MEV resistance. Key progress includes the introduction of Single Key Delay Encryption (SKDE) alongside the existing Practical Verifiable Delay Encryption (PVDE), enhancing censorship resistance and transaction fairness. The network has also strengthened its encrypted mempool infrastructure, reducing MEV attack vectors. Development has emphasized scalable, low-cost settlement for high-frequency payments, with sub-500ms finality and fixed $0.0001 stablecoin transfer fees. Future roadmap priorities include further optimizing delay encryption for lower computational overhead, expanding shared sequencer capabilities for cross-rollup composability, and enabling machine-to-machine payment ecosystems via streaming payment protocols. The team is focused on maintaining a decentralized, neutral ordering layer while scaling throughput linearly through parallel execution.
Ji Hoon Park (Founder & CEO): Founder and CEO of Radius. Previously a software engineer at Samsung Electronics for over a decade, focusing on distributed systems, data infrastructure, and privacy technologies. He later researched zero-knowledge proofs and blockchain protocols. In 2019, he founded ZK-SEL (Zero Knowledge Seoul). He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Seoul National University.
Tariz Jeong (Co-founder): Co-founder of Radius. Previously served as the ZKP research team leader at Decipher, a researcher at PILAB Technology, and founded HelloChain, a blockchain-based certificate issuance startup. At Radius, she drives MEV economy and rollup revenue solutions, including Lighthouse and Secure Block Building.
