About Pons
Pons is a token launchpad built on Robinhood Chain. Creators deploy tokens directly on-chain, and users trade them immediately. In v1, each token launches straight into a Uniswap V3 pool with locked liquidity; in v2, tokens first sell through a bonding curve and automatically graduate into a Uniswap V4 pool once the curve is bought out. All trades are executed via user-signed wallet transactions; the platform never holds funds.
Its core design focuses on fairness and simplicity: a fixed 1 billion supply, 1% pool fee, anti-snipe protection for the first two blocks, per-wallet buy caps during the launch window, and permanently locked liquidity after graduation. The protocol also supports community takeovers (CTO) when creators abandon a token, and a buyback mechanism that burns PONS using 80% of protocol fees.
Pons solves the launch-day liquidity problem that plagued earlier platforms. By starting on a curve, there is nothing to snipe before the curve opens, and no manual migration step for creators to get wrong. It also addresses the need for a low-cost, permissionless token launch venue on a new chain, especially during Robinhood Chain's gas-free period.
Over the past six months (March to September 2026), Pons experienced explosive growth. Cumulative trading volume exceeded $5 billion, accounting for over 63% of Robinhood Chain launchpad volume. Daily token issuance peaked above 20,000 in late August. Protocol revenue reached approximately $4.97 million, with daily fees hitting nearly $6 million at the end of August. PONS tokens burned totaled 293 million, and holder addresses exceeded 62,000.
However, significant negative signals emerged. The graduation rate collapsed from 0.8% in July to roughly 0.11% by early September, with only 742 out of nearly 600,000 tokens reaching the 4.2 ETH threshold. Only one non-PONS token exceeded $5 million market cap. The vast majority of launches fail to build lasting value, and the platform's reliance on near-zero-cost issuance may weaken when Robinhood Chain's gas subsidy ends in late September. Whether Pons can transition from a high-frequency token factory to a sustainable wealth-generation platform remains unproven.
Positive: PONS uses 80% of protocol fees to buy back and burn tokens, with ~29-30% of supply burned; platform fees hit $5.95M daily and $46.27M cumulative; Uniswap Labs bought PONS, Wintermute added via TWAP; listings on Binance Wallet Alpha and multiple CEXs, plus Robinhood listing expectations.
Negative: Uniswap Pools' zero-fee competition once crashed the price to $0.016; after peaking at $0.973 it fell to $0.695 amid high volatility; Robinhood Chain's 90-day gas-fee waiver ends in late September; graduation rate is only ~0.11%, with high concentration in long-tail tokens.
Founder: Ozzy (@MEADGod), pseudonymous founder of Pons. In May 2025, he introduced RootsFi, a Berachain lending protocol with the MEAD stablecoin, on the Berachain governance forum. In July 2026, he launched Pons, which became a leading launchpad on Robinhood Chain. No other co-founders or current core executives have been disclosed; team information remains highly anonymous.
