About Membrane
Membrane is a digital asset operating system that provides institutional-grade software for lending, collateral management, and post-trade settlement. It does not custody assets or hold private keys; instead, it connects to users' own wallets and public blockchains, offering tools for clearing, netting, and settling digital asset transactions. The platform also supports loan lifecycle management, including origination, collateral monitoring, and automated margin calls.
Core competitiveness lies in its non-custodial, modular infrastructure that integrates with multiple custodians, wallets, and liquidity providers. It addresses market pain points such as fragmented workflows, high operational risk in bilateral lending, and lack of real-time collateral visibility. By automating collateral management and settlement, it reduces counterparty and operational risks for institutions.
In the past six months (2026-02-28 to 2026-08-28), Membrane reported over $3.6 billion in loan offers posted on its Credit Hub, with 34 counterparties onboarded. It secured a second patent for settlement technology and partnered with Zodia Custody to embed its loan management infrastructure into Zodia's platform. The company also highlighted growing adoption of its collateral management and netting tools, with active loan requests and repo offerings on the platform. No significant negative events were reported during this period.
