Lumio plans to launch a Layer 2 solution on Solana that ultimately supports "parallel EVM".

Details

Lumio is a modular Layer-2 rollup technology suite designed to let developers build applications using any virtual machine (VM) on any chain. It supports the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), the Aptos Move Virtual Machine, and parallelized Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), maintaining full equivalence with these VMs so existing applications can be deployed across chains without code changes. Built on the OP Stack, Lumio can operate as a standalone L2 or integrate into existing ecosystems such as the Optimism Superchain. It also enables cross-VM calls and supports multiple proof mechanisms (optimistic and zero-knowledge). Developers can write smart contracts in familiar languages, interact with underlying L1s through Lumio's bridging and settlement layers, and access unified liquidity. Its modular and composable design suits projects requiring multi-chain deployment or leveraging diverse VM features.
