About Instadapp
Instadapp is a multi-chain DeFi management platform that simplifies how users interact with lending protocols like Maker, Aave, and Compound. Its core offering is a smart account (DSA) combined with a modular layer (DSL) that lets users manage positions across these protocols in one place.
The main pain point it solves is fragmentation and complexity: users previously had to juggle multiple interfaces, manually track collateral, and face high gas costs when moving assets between protocols. Instadapp enables one-click position migration, automatic refinancing when a vault approaches liquidation, and cross-chain asset transfers, reducing both operational risk and transaction overhead.
Its competitive edge lies in the connector architecture, which standardizes interactions with various DeFi protocols, and the ability to execute complex multi-step transactions atomically. This makes advanced strategies like collateral swapping or debt shifting accessible to ordinary users without deep technical knowledge.
Regarding recent developments from March to September 2026, no major public updates or new product launches were reported during this period. The platform continued operating its existing services, including the Avocado smart wallet introduced earlier, but there were no significant feature releases or protocol integrations announced. Overall, Instadapp remains a functional but not rapidly evolving tool in the DeFi infrastructure space.
Instadapp launched in November 2018, initially focused on Maker collateral management, then integrated Compound, Aave, and other major lending protocols. In 2019, it introduced asset-and-debt bridges, allowing users to migrate positions between protocols without new capital, significantly boosting TVL during events like the Maker multi-collateral transition. In April 2020, it released DeFi Smart Accounts (DSA) as a unified interface for cross-protocol positions. In February 2021, it announced upgrading DSA into DeFi Smart Layer (DSL) and launched the INST governance token, with airdrops to users of major lending protocols. In June 2021, it raised $10 million for DSL ecosystem growth. In 2022, in partnership with Gelato, it introduced automated vault refinancing using flash loans to migrate collateral and debt under liquidation risk. In March 2023, it launched Avocado, a multi-chain smart wallet. In December 2024, it rebranded to Fluid, combining a money market with a DEX to improve lending and liquidity efficiency, renamed the token to FLUID, and started a revenue buyback program. These milestones mark its evolution from a tool into DeFi infrastructure.
Key developments (Mar–Sep 2026):
- Fluid DEX v2 upgrade – a singleton liquidity engine on the Liquidity Layer, enabling cross-margin trading, volatile-pair support, and concentrated-liquidity strategies.
- PST ecosystem launch – IGP-131 set launch limits on PST vaults/DEX, funded 750k FLUID rewards, and removed Team Multisig auth to decentralize control.
- Risk tightening – IGP-135 reduced withdrawal limits on legacy vaults, capped fsUSDs, tightened smart-debt on multiple DEX pools, and raised USDai-USDC market to launch limits.
Future focus (official roadmap):
- Tokenized RWAs (e.g., Ondo Finance US Treasuries) as collateral.
- Cross-chain shared liquidity via interoperability layers.
- DEX parity with Uniswap V4: dynamic fees, native limit orders, hooks-equivalent system.
