About Immunefi

Immunefi is a leading bug bounty platform for the crypto industry, connecting white-hat hackers with protocols to identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited. Its core value proposition is prevention: since inception, it has paid researchers over $140 million, protected over $180 billion in assets across 650+ protocols, and helped avert more than $25 billion in potential losses.

The market pain point is clear: crypto hacks remain frequent and costly. In 2026 H1 alone, 207 attacks caused approximately $972 million in losses, with private key leaks and infrastructure failures overtaking smart contract bugs as the primary threat vectors.

Over the past six months (March–September 2026), Immunefi reported that July saw about $110 million in losses, while the platform paid $2.32 million in bounties and blocked 374 threats. In H1 2026, it paid $13.45 million to researchers for 837 valid vulnerabilities. Notably, DeFi attack losses have dropped 74% from the 2022 peak, which Immunefi attributes to sustained security coverage, bounty programs, and audit competitions. However, the record-high 207 attacks in H1 2026 show that attack frequency is still rising, and the CEO acknowledged that hundreds of millions in annual losses remain unacceptable.
