About Holonym

Holonym is a Web3 privacy toolkit focused on identity and wallet infrastructure. Its core products include Human Passport (a privacy-preserving proof-of-personhood system), Human Network (decentralized cryptographic key management), Human ID (verifiable identity claims without exposing personal data), and Human Wallet (a self-custodial wallet with one-click sign-on).

The core value proposition is reconciling privacy with compliance: users can prove they are unique humans or meet certain criteria (e.g., not sanctioned) without revealing who they are, using zero-knowledge proofs. This addresses the market pain point where dApps and protocols must choose between user privacy and regulatory requirements like sanctions screening or Sybil resistance.

In the past six months (Feb-Aug 2026), Holonym made several notable moves. Human Passport became a data oracle for Newton Protocol, enabling Sybil-resistant transaction screening. Human Network's codebase was fully open-sourced in February. The WaaP CLI launched in March, providing AI agent wallet infrastructure with human-in-the-loop approvals. Additionally, the Clean SDK was released for programmable privacy on Aztec, with Shield (a compliant private bridge) as its first production app. These developments show a shift toward practical tooling for developers rather than just identity verification.
