Beaker DAO

Beaker DAO is a decentralized science organisation aimed at supporting the expansion of open science. Through research funding and intellectual-property management it promotes open access to research output and creates on-chain market liquidity across the decentralized-science space.

The project operates as a collective in which members govern and decide on research funding and IP management. Its public material stresses that research results should no longer be locked behind centralised institutions and that outputs and related data can be accessed and moved more broadly on-chain, but it does not spell out a detailed grant process or token mechanics. By letting research-related assets and rights move on-chain, the project hopes to lower the barrier to research funding and let funders, researchers and the public collaborate under one mechanism.
