FreeNFT is a free NFT distribution platform where projects give away NFTs to users. Users connect a crypto wallet, follow designated Twitter accounts, and complete captcha verification to register for whitelist draws and win free NFTs. The platform also issues its own sticker NFTs that users can collect and redeem to their wallets.

Its core model is "free to own," lowering the barrier for users to engage with NFTs, while filtering bots through registration signatures, Twitter linking, and verification codes, helping projects identify real users. This addresses the pain points of cold-start difficulty, high user acquisition costs, and bot-contaminated communities in NFT projects.

In the past six months, FreeNFT began scheduled maintenance and account cleanup on September 1, 2026, requiring users to redeem their sticker NFTs to Web3 wallets before that date, otherwise they would become unrecoverable. This reminds users to manage assets promptly and also reflects the platform's contraction of its free distribution business.
