About fomo

Fomo is a mobile-first cross-chain trading application. Users can trade tokens on networks like Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, and Robinhood Chain through a single email-based account, eliminating the need to manage seed phrases, switch networks, or handle gas tokens. The app integrates Apple Pay for instant deposits.

Its core differentiator is social trading. Users can view the real-time positions and activities of traders they follow, browse leaderboards, and copy trades. Features like Clans (team-based trading), Trader Rewards (earn from sharing trading ideas), and a referral program (25% of referred users' fees) create a self-reinforcing network effect.

Fomo addresses the key pain points of crypto adoption: complex wallet management, fragmented cross-chain experiences, and the lack of social context in trading. It simplifies onboarding to the level of a traditional fintech app while adding a social layer that makes trading more transparent and engaging.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), Fomo has grown rapidly. Daily active traders surged from a few thousand to over 100,000, total users exceeded 1.9 million, and monthly trading volume grew from $500 million in June to over $2.8 billion in August. The app launched perpetual futures (powered by Hyperliquid and TradeXYZ) in June, expanded its web platform (now ~25% of volume), and acquired Mobula's data infrastructure to handle multi-chain data at scale. It also ranked in the top 5 finance apps on the US App Store, surpassing Cash App. No major negative incidents were reported during this period.

fomo launched its mobile social trading public beta in May 2025, enabling cross-chain token trading with a unified balance.

In June 2025, Apple Pay support drove rapid user and volume growth; in September, full Base chain support arrived, followed by BNB Chain and Monad, making it a multichain aggregated trading app.

In November 2025, Benchmark led a $17M Series A; in April 2026, fomo web launched, syncing desktop and mobile.

In June 2026, perpetuals went live and Index Ventures led a $75M Series B at a $550M valuation; in August 2026, weekly revenue peaked at $2.64M and it out-earned Hyperliquid in a single day.

Over the past six months, fomo has made significant strides in infrastructure, product expansion, and social trading.

Key developments include the acquisition of Mobula's on-chain data aggregation technology and the hiring of its core team, enabling fomo to build proprietary data infrastructure in-house. This move supports its rapidly scaling platform, which now processes over $2.8 billion in monthly trading volume.

fomo also launched fomo Perpetuals, expanding beyond spot trading to include perpetual futures across crypto (BTC, ETH, SOL, HYPE), equities (NVDA, GOOGL, AMD, MU, SNDK), indices (S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Kospi 200, Nikkei 225), and commodities (oil, silver, gold, copper). This significantly broadens its asset class coverage.

Additionally, fomo introduced fomo Web, bringing its mobile trading experience to desktop, and launched Clans, a social feature allowing users to form groups, compete on leaderboards, and foster team-based trading.

Looking ahead, fomo's roadmap focuses on deepening its social layer. Planned enhancements include in-app chat within Clans, member recruitment tools, subscription services, and shared treasuries. The company also aims to reduce cross-chain transaction times from 3-5 seconds to under 1 second, making cross-chain trading feel seamless. With a user base exceeding 1.9 million and growing by 30,000 daily, fomo is positioning itself as a comprehensive social trading platform bridging multiple chains and asset types.
