About Collector
Collector Crypt is a Solana-based platform that tokenizes physical collectible cards (mainly Pokémon and sports cards) into NFTs backed by real items stored in a secure vault in Montana, USA. Users deposit USDC to buy random digital packs (gacha), receiving NFTs that can be instantly repurchased by the platform at 85%-93% of their estimated value. This creates a fast loop where most users sell back within seconds, with the platform keeping the 7%-15% spread as revenue.
Its core competitiveness lies in combining physical card value with blockchain liquidity, using PSA-graded cards as asset backing and a gacha mechanism to drive repeat consumption. The platform has become the largest on-chain TCG market on Solana, holding about 87% market share, with monthly trading volume exceeding $330 million in June 2026.
The pain point it addresses is the traditional collectibles market's lack of liquidity, slow settlement, and authentication difficulties. By tokenizing physical cards, it enables instant trading and global access while maintaining physical redemption options.
In the past six months (March to September 2026), the platform grew rapidly: monthly trading volume rose from about $97.5 million in January to over $330 million in June, and daily active users increased from around 280 to over 800. However, growth is heavily concentrated among whales—14.6% of users contribute 97.1% of revenue, while 42.1% of users spending under $250 contribute only 0.1%. Gross margin has also declined from 6.03% to 2.74%, and net revenue retention is only about 6.5%. Real secondary market activity remains minimal (eBay sales ratio dropped from 1.23% to 0.10% over six quarters), indicating the platform relies primarily on the gacha repurchase loop rather than genuine collector demand.
Collector Crypt, a platform bridging physical collectibles with blockchain, has reached several milestones with long-term significance. In 2023, it completed a seed round with participation from GSR and other investors, laying the foundation for its treasury-backed model. In January 2024, it launched its Gacha machine system, which became the primary revenue driver, generating approximately $2 million in sales in its first month and growing to $43.89 million by August 2025. In September 2025, the CARDS token presale raised 16,500 SOL, and shortly after, OKX launched CARDS spot trading, marking its entry into mainstream exchanges. The token's market cap surged past $400 million within days, reflecting strong market interest. Additionally, Collector Crypt was recognized as the project with the most new top follower additions in the past 7 days on Project Hunt, indicating growing community traction. These milestones highlight its evolution from a niche card-trading platform to a significant player in the RWA (Real World Assets) space, with a treasury valued at $18.6 million backed by physical graded cards.
