About Arcade
Arcade is a GameFi platform built on Avalanche. Its core business revolves around "Mission Pools," which allow users to participate in multiple play-to-earn (P2E) games without directly playing them or owning NFTs. The platform uses a dual-token system: ARC serves as the governance and value-capturing token, while xARC is used for reward distribution. Mission Pools are managed by operators (MPOs) who use in-game assets to earn rewards, which are then shared with contributors. This lowers the entry barrier for P2E, addressing issues such as the need to buy expensive NFTs, manage multiple wallets, and cope with game token inflation. Its key competitive edge lies in the chain-agnostic design, enabling users to earn across games while converting game rewards into ARC to buffer inflationary pressure.
In the past six months, Arcade was acquired by the SocialFi app Arena in April 2026. Following the acquisition, Arcade's Mission Pool infrastructure is set to be integrated into Arena, allowing its users to access game rewards through a unified interface. However, details such as whether the tokens will merge and when xARC will be listed on Arena's DEX remain undisclosed. Overall, the integration aims to combine Arcade's chain-agnostic earning capabilities with Arena's user ecosystem, but its actual impact remains to be seen.
Arcade was founded in 2021, initially on Solana, then migrated to a dual-chain structure on Ethereum and Avalanche to meet technical requirements: ARC token main liquidity on Ethereum, xARC on Avalanche. In October 2022, it completed a $3.2 million seed round led by Crypto.com Capital with participation from Solana Ventures, marking capital recognition of its GameFi model. In February 2024, it launched Project Alpha, a closed mainnet testing phase distributing xARC by invitation, allowing users to experience Mission Pools early and provide feedback ahead of public launch. Later that month, on February 27-29, it held its TGE via Fjord's LBP platform, publicly selling 15 million ARC (1.875% of total supply), a key milestone for the platform's official launch. Subsequently, Arcade was acquired by Arena, integrating into the Avalanche ecosystem to expand its GameFi infrastructure and reward management capabilities, becoming an important long-term milestone.
Key positives in the past six months (2026-03-13 to 2026-09-13): In April 2026, The Arena, Avalanche's leading SocialFi app, announced its acquisition of Arcade2Earn, integrating Mission Pools and on-chain game-reward routing infrastructure into its ecosystem, giving ARC/xARC broader distribution and user reach . Additionally, Mission Pool settlements sell inflationary in-game tokens to buy ARC, creating potential deflationary support . The acquisition is the period's major progress; no major unlock, security, or regulatory negatives were publicly reported.
